Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026 —

1. The service

Transcript API ("the service", operated by [YOUR NAME / BUSINESS NAME]) provides automated speech-to-text transcription, metadata retrieval, and translation of publicly accessible videos identified by URLs you submit. Output is machine-generated and provided as-is, without guarantees of accuracy.

2. Acceptable use

You may only submit URLs of content that is publicly accessible, and you are responsible for ensuring your use of the output complies with applicable law and the rights of content owners. You may not use the service to infringe copyright, harass individuals, or process content you have no lawful basis to process. We may suspend accounts engaged in abuse, excessive automated signup, or attempts to circumvent usage limits.

3. Billing

Paid usage is billed through our payment partner (the merchant of record), which handles payment processing and applicable taxes. Prices are listed on the pricing page. Usage is metered per video, per started minute of transcription, and per delivered translation. Cached results count as usage. Free-tier allowances reset monthly and carry no cash value.

4. Availability & liability

The service is provided without uptime guarantees. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the month the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the content of third-party videos.

5. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
